Utilizing Business Card Sized Postcards / Flyers
Here’s a novel idea. What if you made flyers the size of business cards? Will it be worth it?
Business Card Sized Postcards
Cost wise, business cards are far cheaper than post cards, and for good reason. They are about half the size, use less ink, and less paper. But think about the application. When you get a business card from someone, where is it likely to immediately go? When I get handed a business card, I usually stick it into my wallet and it sits there for a while, until I decide to clean out my wallet (upon which I add all my business cards to my business card binder).
The next time you are getting ready to purchase your next printing project, consider if your marketing statement can be made on a business card sized flyer. One of the most commonly used method of passing out handbills is to go to the local shops and put a stack of cards in the section the shops have devoted to this type of media.
At the end of the day, there’s a reason 4×6 postcards are still so popular, and that is because it works. There really is no need to reinvent the wheel, but if you are running on a tight budget, the above mentioned tactic can be used in a pinch with still good results.
